FIRST is a program that creates and hosts a national robotics competition each year. The competitions help to inspire students and participants to become leaders in engineering, science and technology though the robot that each team creates. Participants learn many skills and tools not only involved with sciences but in leadership and group communication, helping to build more self confident and "well-rounded" individuals. They not only inspire but they help create foundations for life. FIRST also encourages teams to have mentors to help teach, advise and inspire their team. Our team has now utilized mentors for two years and we made it to Nationals last year!!!
