Fundraising is an important part
of our Robotics Team.
Below we have included some
of our favorite recipes
for our continued success. |

Recipe for the Perfect Fundraiser
The largest fundraiser for Tech High Robotics is the All-Nighter. This fundraiser, in short, is an all night, safe party at the school campus. Students bring computers, games, movies, and music to have a great time!
All you need is:
- Food
Keeping high school students happy all night requires junk food and pizza. Every student wants to sit down, watch a flick, and enjoy sharing a make shift meal with friends.
- Time
The Tech High Robotics All-Nighters generally start at 8:00 p.m. and continue until 8:00 a.m. To fit your school needs, you could always hold your own personal fundraiser from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. .
- Chaperones and Teachers
Both are needed to have a successful and safe event. Chaperones help to maintain discipline and security throughout the night. Teachers also help to put affirmative spirit behind the chaperones.
- Cost
In order to make this event as profitable as possible, Tech High Robotics charges a twenty dollar entrance fee. This cost covers, food, pizza, soda, and access to the party. This amount is enough to make a profit, but low enough to have everyone attend.
- Rules
Almost all high student hate rules, but they are necessary under these conditions. In order to attend a Tech High Robotics All-Nighter, students must sign a waiver stating they will follow the necessary guidelines. It is best for you to personalize your rules based on what your school needs. One rule that should be part of every All-Nighter is: no leaving the event. It is extremely important to make sure the students are safe. In order for this to be true you need to have a check-in and check-out table. At our personal events, no one is allowed to leave before 8:00 a.m. without a guardian there to pick them up.
- Space
For the Tech High Robotics All-Nighters, we use a chain of classrooms at our school that share a common hallway. This allows everyone to switch rooms as needed, without leaving the building. It is extremely important to have your space closed off. If you do not have common hallways at your school, try using a Gym or Cafeteria instead.

Recipe for the Build Season
The second fundraiser takes a lot of parent support!
All you need is:
- Food
Keeping high school students happy and productive requires lots of food. In previous years we have had issues with team members not having enough time in the day because of all of the food breaks (have to feed those minds).
- Coordination
This year we had parents coodinate bringing breakfasts, lunches and dinners during our build season (thank you Laura and all of the parents!).
- Scheduled times
Just like during school, meals were brought at specific times and we all breaked together on campus.
It is the above three step process which allowed our team to focus more on our goal - to design, build and support the best Robot possible!

Recipe for Building Community
The third fundraiser takes a lot of community support!
All you need is:
- Great Mentors and Sponsors
Keeping the team funded and motivated is sometimes a hard task. Without the support of our great parents, teachers, sponsors, mentors and community we couldn't achieve having such a great team! Thanks!
